Grooming

As an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) veterinary hospital and facility, our standard of care for every dog who walks in our doors is exceptional. We pride ourselves in a stress-free visit, whether it is for grooming, wellness, medical, or surgical care. Hygiene and health are also priorities for our hospital, both in the clinical and grooming departments.

Our groomer, David (link to bio), not only provides meticulous grooming and coat care but also works alongside our veterinarians for any concerns out of the ordinary. For dogs with excessive fear, stress, or anxiety, David not only uses conscientious handling but also will work with you and your dog’s veterinarian if therapeutics may be beneficial to reduce anxiety while grooming.

Is your dog due for veterinary wellness care or in need of a health-care concern checked out? We are happy to coordinate an exam and care with one of our veterinarians while your dog is here for grooming.

Grooming Services:

Our City Dogs deserve the best personalized care possible. We use premium shampoos and skin products selected for your dog’s skin, health, and haircoat needs.

• Breed-specific scissor cuts
• Trimming of face, ears, and feet
• Light scissoring of legs or feathers
• Bathing and brushout
• Trimming of paw pads
• Delicate trimming of eye area
• Sanitary Trim
• Ear Cleaning
• Nail Trim
• Anal gland expression (when necessary or requested only)

We do not offer hand-stripping

Vaccination Policy:

For the safety of your dog and others, as well as our staff, we require all dogs to have proof of current Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccination prior to the appointment.

Cancellation Policy:

We kindly request that we receive a minimum of 24 hours if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or “no-shows”, City Dog Vet may require a 50% non-refundable deposit for booking of future appointments.
